APPLIED MEASURES

 

  1. Installation of air purification equipment.

  2. Renovation of furniture adapted to current regulations on sanitation, use of masks and safety distance.

  3. Hydro-alcoholic gel dispensers in our facilities.

  4. Investment in equipment and disinfectants approved against viruses.

  5. Preparation of a contingency plan appropriate to our activities. 

  6. Accommodate staggered schedules to avoid crowds.

  7. Reduction in the number of students per capacity group.

  8. Social media presentations to comply with the safety distance.

  9. Theater capacity reduction in accordance with health regulations.

 

COVID-19 Security Policy

 

At Teatro ECAS, our primary goal is to maintain, above all, the health and safety of our audience. Therefore, we want to share the procedures and policies that we will continue to implement in the theater during the year 2021. These guidelines comply with the Rhode Island Department of Health's recommendation for the use of masks and the announcement of institutions linked to the arts in Providence and how security measures for the reopening of theaters from October 2021.  

 

At ECAS we have implemented additional security measures to protect your health. The success of these protocols depends on each of us choosing to value the health and safety of those who share in the presentations with whom we are seated. We look forward to receiving your support and we are confident that this will be the case.

 

Universal Policies

 

1. Wear a mask at all times for general public functions.

 

2. For all public functions, attendees 12 years of age or older must show proof of being vaccinated against COVID-19 (vaccination card or vaccination certificate) showing "fully vaccinated" status as established by the CDC, or a negative COVID test performed within 96 hours prior to the time of the performance they will be attending. Children under 12 years of age accompanied by fully vaccinated parents are not required to show a negative COVID test result.

 

3. For student matinees, ECAS does not require educational personnel or students to show proof of vaccination or recent negative COVID test. However, all persons who are not members of a school system, such as chaperones or individuals who want to attend a student matinee as a general public, must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test performed within 96 hours. prior to the time of the function they will attend.

 

4. Wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds with soap and water, or use antibacterial gel.

 

5. Keep a distance of 6 feet (2 meters) whenever you can.  



 

Policies for student matinees

 

All persons attending a student matinee must wear a mask, regardless of their immunization status. ECAS will not do temperature checks. Teachers and educational institutions will be required to conduct their own health check with students prior to attending the theater.

 

General

 

1. The theater and common area will be cleaned and disinfected with CDC-approved products daily during the course of the play.

 

2. All high traffic areas, doorknobs, and other common surfaces are sanitized before and after each performance.

 

3. Masks, gloves, antibacterial gel dispensers, and disinfectant wipes are available in the theater.

 

4. All theater staff and volunteers must wear a mask at all times.

 

5. The air conditioning system has a new filter installed, we have an air purifier and an ambient impurity meter to control the impurity load inside the theater.  

 

Tickets

 

1. ECAS works at 50% of its capacity. Advance booking of tickets is recommended; You can call the theater box office to find out about ticket availability. The capacity (number of seats available) may vary at any time, if ECAS deems it necessary for public health reasons.

 

2. Tickets may be exchanged for other future plays this season. Returns will only be made on a case-by-case basis.  

 

3. By purchasing a ticket for a general public function or a student matinee, you acknowledge that you have been informed of all the security procedures that ECAS implements to protect your safety and you understand that ECAS is not responsible for any contraction of illnesses.



 

In the theater

 

1. Upon entering the theater: There are markings on the floor so that the public can respect social distancing.  

 

2. ECAS volunteers will check the temperature (with non-contact thermometers) of all members of the public entering the theater for a general audience performance.

 

3. Members of the public will collect their tickets at the theater box office. People with ComboPase tickets must confirm their attendance to see the performance in advance.  

 

4. The theater opens 30 minutes before the start of the performance.  

 

5. Seats are assigned with distance between audience members. This may change at any time, if ECAS deems it necessary for public health reasons.  

 

6. Printed hand programs are available to the public and will be delivered by ushers or volunteers wearing gloves.

 

The exit

 

1. Audiences are encouraged to leave the theater as soon as the performance is over and avoid crowds.

 

We hope everyone is healthy and we look forward to seeing you at the theater on this 24th anniversary.

There is an inherent risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus in any public place where people congregate. The ECAS Theater works with its audience to implement preventive measures that reduce the spread of COVID-19. Despite this, the risk of contracting the virus could be increased when visiting the theater. The COVID-19 virus is extremely contagious, and it can cause serious illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), older adults and people of any age with certain pre-existing medical conditions are at increased risk of becoming seriously ill from the COVID-19 virus. By visiting Teatro ECAS you are voluntarily assuming all risks related to exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
